PetroSantander owns and operates the dehydration, compression, transport, and CO2 EOR sites for CO2 sourced from the Bonanza BioEnergy ethanol plant in Garden City, Kansas.
The project captures approximately 100,000 tonnes of CO2 annually and uses the CO2 for enhanced oil recovery in the nearby Stewart oil field.
First injection occurred in 2012 and the Stewart oilfield peaked in 2015 with oil production around 10,000 bbls per year.
