ClimeFi has partnered with XPRIZE to provide CDR buyers with a portfolio that offers unrivalled exposure to the XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition Winners and Finalists
ClimeFi has partnered with XPRIZE to provide CDR buyers with access to a structured portfolio consisting of the Winners, as well as access to some of the Finalists, of the recent XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition – a US$100 million global competition that catalysed the development of high-quality CDR technologies.
With more than 1,300 teams participating over the course of four years, XPRIZE Carbon Removal announced in April that Mati Carbon – an enhanced rock weathering project (ERW) – won the first prize (US$50 million), followed by NetZero (US$15 million), Vaulted Deep (US$8 million), and UNDO Carbon (US$5 million).

The ClimeFi XPRIZE Portfolio provides CDR buyers with access to a single, diversified portfolio that offers unrivalled exposure to the XPRIZE Carbon Removal Winners, whose solutions met the competition’s bold requirements and have demonstrated potential to scale sustainably.
Pre-negotiated contractual terms ensure seamless access to the projects, while a reduced minimum purchase amount lowers the barriers to buyer entry. In addition, engaging with the initiative guarantees a steady stream of more than 50,000 tonnes delivered by 2030.
