StreamOne Shipping’s 35,000-cbm Oceanic Star (built 2009) loaded a 23,500-tonne cargo on 25 September from producer CF Industries’ Donaldsonville facility in Louisiana.
Trader Trafigura bought the ammonia for delivery to Envalior, an engineering materials group.

The cargo will be discharged in Antwerp, Belgium to produce low-carbon caprolactam, which is key to plastics production.
Trafigura announced the move on Monday, without naming the ship.
Blue ammonia is produced from natural gas using steam methane reforming.
“A landmark event in the energy transition is underway,” consultancy Kpler said.
The Oceanic Star is technically managed by Roswell Tankers in Greece, according to Clarksons.
StreamOne’s website says the company was created by two professionals who combined their respective backgrounds and decades of experience.
“One brought over 19 years of experience in managing ammonia and petroleum product terminals. The other added his 27 years of knowledge and understanding of the international fertiliser market,” it says.
The company operates three 35,000-cbm LPG carriers built in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and formerly owned by Prime Marine in Greece.
StreamOne is staffed by a number of Latvian executives.
Chartering manager Igor Jevstignejev, has been with the company since January 2024, confirmed the ammonia shipment to TradeWinds.
Jevstignejev was previously head of chartering at Riga’s Alpha Shipping.
Natalja Jevstignejeva is marine operations manager. She joined in April 2023 with a trading background.
