MCi Carbon’s technology uses mineral carbonation to permanently bind CO₂ into solid materials, producing low-carbon materials for use in industrial and construction supply chains. The collaboration with Hatch is intended to support the development of robust, scalable, and commercially deployable project pathways for this technology.
“Design has started on our first commercial plants. Hatch’s engineering expertise strengthens our ability to roll out this technology globally. This partnership positions us to turn our pipeline of customer opportunities into delivered projects.”
“We are pleased to collaborate with MCi Carbon on the development and scale-up of its mineral carbonation technology. Through this collaboration, Hatch intends to provide engineering support and technical expertise to assist MCi's project development activities. We look forward to working with the MCi team as they continue to advance the technology and evaluate opportunities for future commercial deployment with particular focus on scale-up, technology integration, and execution planning.”
Hatch and MCi Carbon will continue working together to identify and progress commercial mineral carbonation opportunities across relevant industrial sectors as one part of Hatch’s broader portfolio of decarbonization collaborations and projects.
