Next Phase of Geophysical Work Advances Priority Targets Following August Technical Study
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vortex Energy Corp. (CSE: VRTX) (OTC: VTECF) (FSE: AA3) (“Vortex” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce plans to undertake a targeted ground gravity survey at its 100%-owned Robinsons River Salt Project (the “Project”), located approximately 35 kilometres south of Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador. The survey has been selected as the Company’s next geophysical program at the Project.
The program builds upon the technical study results announced by the Company on August 6, 2026. That study integrated the available geological, drilling, seismic and gravity information and identified differences and remaining uncertainty among the existing interpretations. The planned survey is intended to address gaps in the existing gravity dataset and provide additional spatial control in selected priority areas. The new data will be integrated with the Project’s existing drilling, legacy seismic, airborne gravity, Ambient Noise Tomography and geological information to further refine the subsurface model and support the ranking of potential future drill targets. Gravity is non-unique exploration method that directly measures the target ore’s gravity field and cannot independently confirm the presence, composition, thickness or continuity of salt.

“We are pleased to move forward with a ground gravity survey at Robinsons River,” said Paul Sparkes, Chief Executive Officer of Vortex. “This work will build on the recent technical study and provide additional information as we continue to evaluate and advance the Project’s priority exploration targets.”
The Company is finalizing the survey area, station spacing, budget, schedule and permitting requirements and will provide further details once the program design has been completed.
